What is EDISC?

EDISC is a profiling tool, and it is not like any other on the market, it is a behavioural profile not a personality profile.

Personality Profiling is a fixed profile. It’s a label, basically what you see is what you get, and you can’t change it, it pigeonholes people.

Behavioural Profiling on the other hand is flexible. It describes a person’s natural reaction or behavioural style in different situations. So, it doesn’t classify people into good or bad, it won’t limit a person’s ability to develop in another direction or work environment. In fact, it can give people the tools to excel where they need to, personally and professionally.

Another thing that sets EDISC apart from standard profiling tools such as Myers-Briggs and the classic DISC which only measures just 16 variations of behaviour, where E-DISC identifies 160 different behavioural patterns.

So briefly, there are four different energy types within EDISC, and they are: D for Dominant, I for Influence, S for Stability and C for Compliance. We all have these energies and they are in different combinations and strengths in all of us, and it is these differences that heavily influence our overall behavioural style.
